Path of Exile 2’s Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Act 3's Secret Riches

Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, but some remain elusive, never appearing in your quest log. This is true for the five Golden Idols hidden throughout Act 3. While labeled "Quest Items," they function differently than typical quest items. Unlike most, picking up a Golden Idol won't update your quest log. Traditional Quest Items are usually traded to NPCs or deposited in specific locations to advance quests and earn rewards. However, PoE 2's Golden Idols are unique; they're valuable sellable items, each fetching a substantial sum of gold.

Locating the Golden Idols

After completing the Ziggurat Encampment and traversing the ruins of the Vaal civilization, a portal transports you to the past, specifically Utzaal – the Drowned City in the present. This city showcases the Vaal civilization at its zenith. However, don't get sidetracked by the stunning visuals; your focus should be on finding the Golden Idols.

Three idols are located within Utzaal, with the remaining two found in the connected area of Aggorat. These aren't random enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals, usually in secluded side rooms.

• Elegant Idol

Cashing In Your Treasures

Each idol commands a hefty price:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 gold. Given their size and sole purpose as high-value items, consider returning to the encampment after each find to sell them and free up inventory space.
