The latest beta build for Version 5.4 has updated the Event Banners for the upcoming patch in Genshin Impact, revealing more information on which 4-Star characters will join Mizuki, Wriothesley, Sigewinne, and Furina. With Version 5.3 closing out the Archon Quest in Natlan, Version 5.4 will take Genshin Impact players back to Inazuma. While it won't feature a new map expansion, its Flagship Event will revolve around the yokai of Inazuma, and will place Yae Miko and Ei in a prominent role.
Arguably, the star of Version 5.4 is Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo Catalyst from Inazuma. Mizuki in Genshin Impact is expected to be a Standard Banner character, and as such, her Signature Weapon is bound to draw interest. In terms of her ability kit, Mizuki can best be described as a Sucrose that can heal. While her rotation has been critiqued for being too passive, Mizuki has continued to receive consistent buffs over the course of beta testing.
Thanks to HomDCCat's datamining efforts, Genshin Impact players can now learn about the majority of 4-Star characters that will be joining the Event Banners in Version 5.4. In terms of 5-Stars, Wriothesley and Mizuki are expected to feature in the first half of Version 5.4, while the second half will be headlined by Sigewinne and Furina. On the other hand, the 4-Star characters of Version 5.4 are expected to be Mika, Gorou, Sayu, and Chongyun. There is a rumor of an Inazuma Chronicled Banner coming to Genshin Impact in the upcoming patch, but it likely won't be confirmed (or debunked) until the developer livestream.
Mizuki – 5-Star Anemo Catalyst
Wriothesley – 5-Star Cryo Catalyst
Sigewinne – 5-Star Hydro Bow
Furina – 5-Star Hydro Sword
Mika – 4-Star Cryo Polearm
Gorou – 4-Star Geo Bow
Sayu – 4-Star Anemo Claymore
Chongyun – 4-Star Cryo Claymore
It should be noted that the 4-Star characters on the list aren't ordered. However, assuming Version 5.4 does indeed feature an Inazuma Chronicled Banner, then Gorou and Sayu would have to appear in whatever phase the Chronicled Banner isn't running in. Given that Version 4.5 featured the Chronicled Banner in the first half, while Version 5.3 will feature it in the second half, both options are a possibility. That being said, Mika is likely the most valuable character in the lineup, as he synergizes well with both Furina and Wriothesley in Genshin Impact.
In terms of speculating about the final two spots on the Event Banners in Version 5.4, many Genshin Impact players have clamored for Charlotte to make her comeback. Notably, she has been absent from the Event Banners since her debut in Version 4.2, and even skipped Furina's rerun in Version 4.7. Since Noelle synergizes well with both Furina and Gorou, it is likely that the Maid of Favonius will make an appearance in the second half. While there are certainly stronger 4-Star characters in Genshin Impact, it does give Sayu, Mika, and Gorou a much-needed rerun on the Event Banners.
