Forza Unveils Its PS5 Debut

Forza Horizon 5, Xbox's acclaimed racing title, is making its way to PlayStation!

Playground Games surprisingly revealed that Forza Horizon 5 will be available on PS5 this spring. This follows other Xbox exclusives like Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in making the jump to PlayStation.

Developed by Panic Button in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games, the PS5 version boasts identical content to its Xbox and PC counterparts. This includes all car packs and expansions like Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure.

This strategic move reflects Xbox's broader initiative to expand its game reach beyond its own platforms. Xbox CEO Phil Spencer has publicly confirmed their support for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Recent financial reports from Microsoft indicate a decline in overall gaming revenue, particularly a near 30% drop in console sales, despite successes like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (4 million players) and a 30% growth in PC Game Pass subscriptions (leading to a 2% increase in services revenue). This financial picture might be influencing Xbox's focus on Game Pass and wider platform releases.
