According to the season's reveal trailer, there are currently three known methods for opening Vaults in Fortnite's Lawless season:

• Use the new Rocket Drill to bore your way into a Vault.
• Obtain the Plasma Burst Rifle and blast through the entrance.
• Place the new Meltanite TNT explosive on the door and blow it open.

More methods are likely to emerge, as past seasons required keycards or completing specific tasks for access. For now, brute force and patience seem to be the most reliable approaches. We'll update this guide with additional strategies when the season launches on February 21.

As in previous seasons, expect heavy resistance from AI guards protecting the Vaults and rival players with the same goal of securing high-tier loot.

Upon opening one, Big Dill’s Medallion is displayed in a protective case, while several chests—likely containing high-tier loot—are also visible. A wide shot showing piles of Gold Bars suggests players can also expect substantial amounts of gold behind those doors.
