Final Fantasy Switch Games: 2025 Lineup

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 13,2025

For much of the 21st century, Final Fantasy games were PlayStation exclusives. However, a nearly 40-year-old franchise needs to reach new generations of players. This, combined with business considerations, has pushed publishers towards multi-platform releases. Beyond PC ports, Square Enix has actively brought many remasters and special editions to Nintendo's handheld consoles.

This isn't entirely new; Final Fantasy's history with Nintendo goes back to its 1987 Famicom debut. The first six mainline entries launched on Nintendo platforms before Square Enix shifted primarily to PlayStation with Final Fantasy VII.

With Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth's PC launch and a significant Magic: The Gathering expansion bringing Final Fantasy back into the spotlight in 2025, many are eager to explore the series. Below is a complete list of Final Fantasy games available on the Nintendo Switch, perfect for newcomers and veterans alike.
