Konami and FIFA's surprising esports collaboration: The FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024!

This unexpected partnership follows years of competition between FIFA and Konami's eFootball series. The FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024 will utilize Konami's eFootball platform.

In-Game Qualifiers Now Live on eFootball!

The tournament features two divisions: Console (PS4 and PS5) and Mobile. Eighteen countries are vying for the final spots: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.

Three-stage in-game qualifiers run from October 10th to 20th. National Nomination Phases for the 18 participating countries follow from October 28th to November 3rd.

The offline final round will conclude in late 2024; the exact date is yet to be announced. Even if your country isn't among the 18, you can still participate in the qualifiers up to Round 3, earning rewards such as 50 eFootball coins, 30,000 XP, and other bonuses.

The Unexpected FIFA and eFootball Alliance

The collaboration is a significant shift after years of rivalry. EA's split with FIFA in 2022, reportedly due to a substantial licensing fee dispute, paved the way for this surprising partnership. Following the separation, EA launched EA Sports FC 24.
