Author:Kristen Update:May 15,2025

Remedy Entertainment has exciting news for fans, announcing that FBC: Firebreak will launch on June 17, 2025. This highly anticipated game is a session-based, multiplayer PvE experience set within the universe of Control. Players will dive into replayable missions, referred to as Jobs, each offering unique challenges, objectives, and environments that demand teamwork and adaptability.

FBC: Firebreak is set to be released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Gamers can also access it on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). Notably, this marks Remedy's inaugural self-published title.

In addition to the standard edition, Remedy introduced the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, available for $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This edition comes with an array of exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for an additional $10 / €10 / £7.

The Deluxe Edition boasts the following exclusive content:

  • “The Firestarter” Premium Voice Pack
  • “The Pencil Pusher” Premium Voice Pack
  • Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves)
  • Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin
  • Golden Firebreak Spray
  • Classified Requisition: “Firestarter”: A collection of 36 unlockable cosmetic items including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets

Here's what Remedy has to say about FBC: Firebreak:

FBC: Firebreak introduces Requisitions, a system that rewards players with new gear and cosmetics simply by playing the game. Requisitions can include weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more - all unlockable using in-game currency earned through gameplay. There are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; if an item is added in the game, it’s always available.

For those who want additional customization options, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items - such as armor sets, custom voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins. Classified Requisitions are purchased with real money. The items are purely cosmetic, have no gameplay impact, and will remain available permanently.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, promising two new Jobs in 2025 and more updates in 2026. All new playable content, including Jobs, will be free for all players. While players can purchase cosmetic items, these will not affect gameplay and will not be subject to limited-time rotations or daily log-in requirements.

Remedy is currently juggling multiple projects alongside FBC: Firebreak, including Control 2 and a remake compilation of Max Payne and Max Payne 2. This lineup showcases Remedy's busy schedule and dedication to delivering top-tier gaming experiences.
