Tin Man Games has enriched the Fighting Fantasy Classics series with the addition of Eye of the Dragon, now available across all digital platforms including Android, iOS, and Steam for both PC and Mac. If you're a fan of classic dungeon crawls, this title promises a nostalgic journey back to the roots of the genre.
This marks the official digital debut of Eye of the Dragon! Originally released in 2005 during the Wizard Books reboot, this adventure penned by Ian Livingstone, co-creator of the series, hadn't been available since 2010 until now. Interestingly, its origins trace back to a mini-adventure in Dicing with Dragons. With this release, Eye of the Dragon proudly takes its place as the 19th title in the Fighting Fantasy Classics library.
The game plunges you into the depths of a monster-filled maze beneath Darkwood Forest, challenging you to survive and seek out the Golden Dragon, the ultimate treasure of Allansia. Your adventure begins in a tavern in Fang, where a mysterious stranger presents you with a risky proposition: drink a dubious potion that could spell your doom.
As you navigate the perilous dungeon, you'll encounter deadly traps, magical artefacts, scattered jewels, and numerous creatures eager to challenge you. Along the way, you might even meet an imprisoned dwarf who could prove to be more than just another non-playable character.
Eye of the Dragon in Fighting Fantasy Classics isn't merely a digital replica of the book. Tin Man Games has enhanced the experience with player-friendly features such as adjustable difficulty settings and a Free Read mode for those who wish to explore without combat. An auto-mapping feature ensures you won't lose your way in the labyrinth, while unlimited bookmarks and an in-game adventure sheet meticulously track your stats and inventory.
Eye of the Dragon joins a prestigious lineup including The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, Deathtrap Dungeon, Assassins of Allansia, The Port of Peril, and others like Bloodbones, Forest of Doom, House of Hell, and Trial of Champions. Tin Man Games is also working on more titles, so keep an eye on Fighting Fantasy Classics on the Google Play Store.
