Samsung Unpacked July 2025 Preview

Author:Kristen Update:Oct 01,2025

Samsung is set to unveil its latest smartphone lineup on Wednesday, July 9th, at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT. The highlight of the event, if rumors hold true, will be a range of innovative foldable devices alongside the company's signature Galaxy AI capabilities. In today's tech landscape, no major launch is complete without AI integration.

You can catch the live stream on YouTube or via Samsung's official newsroom. For those eager to secure the upcoming devices, Samsung is already accepting pre-orders ahead of the official announcement.

Samsung's Foldable Evolution Continues

Marking its seventh generation of foldable technology, Samsung is expected to refresh its lineup with three – possibly four – new devices. Anticipate the arrival of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE, alongside updated Galaxy Watches. The event might also feature Samsung's first dual-hinge foldable prototype.

The Z Fold 7 (potentially dubbed Galaxy Z Fold Ultra) appears poised for significant upgrades. Leaked materials from reliable source Roland Quandt suggest a 6.5-inch cover display that expands to an 8-inch screen when unfolded. Reportedly measuring just 4.2mm when open (compared to 5.6mm for the Fold 6), this could be Samsung's thinnest foldable yet.

The Z Flip 7 redesign features an expanded 4-inch outer display that now covers nearly the entire top panel, with only camera cutouts interrupting the surface. Internally, the phone is rumored to sport a slightly larger 6.9-inch flexible display compared to its predecessor's 6.7-inch screen.

Making its debut in the FE series, the budget-conscious Z Flip 7 FE will reportedly share design elements with the Z Fold 6, offering black and white color options based on leaked promotional materials.

Recent discoveries in Samsung's One UI 8 software by Android Authority hint at an ambitious dual-hinge device currently referred to as "Multifold7." While the final marketing name remains uncertain, historical precedent suggests Samsung may showcase this concept device without immediate commercial availability, similar to previous innovative prototypes.
