EA Play Loses Two Games in February

Summary

Two EA Play games are departing in February 2025: Madden NFL 23 on February 15th and F1 22 on February 28th. Additionally, UFC 3 online services will end February 17th.

EA Play subscribers should be aware that at least two titles are leaving the service in February 2025. EA Play, EA's subscription service, offers free game trials, full games, and other benefits. Available as a standalone subscription or bundled with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, it provides access to a diverse library of EA games—both new and old. However, like other subscription services, games are periodically removed.

EA has confirmed the February 2025 removal of Madden NFL 23 (February 15th) and F1 22 (February 28th) from EA Play. Crucially, this removal doesn't immediately shut down online multiplayer for these titles; however, online functionality will eventually cease. EA Play subscribers should enjoy these games while they remain accessible.

List of Games Leaving EA Play Soon

  • Madden NFL 23 - February 15th
  • F1 22 - February 28th

Beyond the removal of Madden NFL 23 and F1 22, February 2025 also marks the end of online services for UFC 3 on February 17th. While its availability on EA Play after this date is uncertain, its core functionality will be significantly impacted. EA Play subscribers may wish to prioritize playing UFC 3 before this date.

While the removal of these EA titles and the shutdown of UFC 3 online are disappointing, newer installments remain available on EA Play. Subscribers will retain access to Madden NFL 24, F1 23, and UFC 4 after February, and UFC 5 joins the lineup January 14th. Although game removals from subscription services are common, the availability of newer titles in these franchises mitigates the impact somewhat.
