Ubisoft Remains Committed to Future Driver Projects

Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show AdaptationUbisoft has officially confirmed to Game File the cancellation of the live-action Driver TV series adaptation. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader strategy to expand its game franchises into new media. As stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik, the goal was "to bring our games to life in new and exciting ways and create content set in the world, culture, and community of gaming."

However, the collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary (named after the Driver protagonist), in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to Game File, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."

Fear not, Driver enthusiasts! Ubisoft has reaffirmed its commitment to the franchise, stating that it is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise" and eagerly anticipates future announcements. While specifics remain undisclosed, stay tuned for further Driver news!
