The Yellow Orb is located in Merchantburg, a town initially marked only as "???" on the map. The town's name is determined by the merchant you hire and leave there. To get the Yellow Orb, you must first establish and develop this village.

Finding Merchantburg (???):

After obtaining the ship from the King of Portoga (following the Black Pepper quest), you can sail to Merchantburg. With quest markers enabled, you'll find it in the northeast corner of the world map, at the easternmost edge of the eastern continent.

Optimal Timing for Visiting Merchantburg:

While orb collection order is flexible, it's advisable to establish Merchantburg early. The town requires significant growth time before yielding the Yellow Orb. Establishing it early allows you to gather other orbs concurrently.

Obtaining the Yellow Orb:

1. Hire a Merchant: Before heading to Merchantburg, visit PALS in Aliahan and hire a new merchant. Minimize combat on your way to keep your new recruit safe.

2. Establish Merchantburg: Upon arriving, enter the lone building. An old man will explain his desire to start a town, needing a merchant to do so. Offer your newly hired merchant. They'll leave your party, establishing the town and giving it a name.

3. Merchantburg's Growth: After establishing the town, proceed to collect the Purple (Orochi's Lair) and Blue (Gaia's Navel) Orbs. You'll receive notifications prompting you to revisit Merchantburg as it grows through five stages. Each visit reveals a larger town, culminating in a cabaret's construction. On your fourth visit, you'll notice the merchant becoming unpopular with some townsfolk.

4. The Final Visit: Return at night on your fifth visit. You'll find the merchant missing from their home. The townsfolk have revolted, imprisoning the merchant in the house south of their former residence.

5. Claiming the Orb: Speak to the imprisoned merchant. They'll reveal the Yellow Orb's location. Return to their house; a quest marker will appear behind the sofa. Interact with the ground to find the Yellow Orb.

The Yellow Orb is often the penultimate orb acquired. Other orb locations include: Red Orb (Pirates' Den), Green Orb (Theddon), and Silver Orb (Maw of the Necrogond/Necrogond Shrine).
