After Yasuke hears rumors of “worse men” from his past being active in Japan, the Yasuke’s Past quests will require players to complete the Templar Hunt Objective Board. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how and where to find every Templar target in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, starting with Kimura Kei.

How to Find the Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Your first lead on Kimura Kei’s location comes from a ronin contact in Kii. You can find him in central Nakahechi Route at the inn in Takahara Village. If you need help pinpointing his exact spot, use Scouts to assist. Look for a building marked with green flags next to a cherry blossom tree. Inside, you'll encounter a ronin dressed in Oda Clan attire. Engage him in conversation, and he will direct you to find a recruiter named Kumabe Ujiie.

Where to Find Kumabe Ujiie

Kumabe Ujiie awaits in northern Kii, specifically at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of Kongobuji Temple. He'll be accompanied by an escort of ronin. Approach him and select the “I seek guidance” dialogue option. Follow Kumabe Ujiie, and he'll eventually reveal Kimura Kei’s whereabouts.

How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei’s Training Grounds are situated in the southwest portion of Kii, just north of the shore, halfway between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Follow the other students to reach Kimura Kei. Upon recognizing Yasuke, Kimura Kei will order his students to attack.

Yasuke will find himself surrounded by aggressive ronin. After defeating them, more will appear as you approach Kimura Kei. Equip your highest-level armor and weapons for this challenge. Exploding red barrels are strategically placed along the path; use your bow or teppo to detonate them and take out groups of enemies.

The confrontation with Kimura Kei triggers a boss fight, making stealth assassination impossible. Equip armor with engravings that enhance your ability to parry unblockable attacks, as he frequently employs them. This fight unfolds in multiple phases.

In the first phase, Kimura Kei wields a standard Katana. Parry his attacks to expose vulnerabilities, then utilize posture attacks and abilities to damage his armor. As his armor nears breaking, the second phase begins with him using a Long Katana alongside the standard one. His attacks become more unblockable, requiring more dodging and strategic strikes.

When Kimura Kei’s health drops to half, the battle shifts outdoors. His attacks become significantly more damaging and unblockable. Dodge frequently and maintain distance when necessary. Employ your bow or teppo for effective long-range attacks.

Every Reward for Killing Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Successfully defeating Kimura Kei grants 3,000 XP, Mon, and the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor and Helmet. The armor reduces the impact of enemy attacks, while the helmet boosts Yasuke’s damage by 10% for every 10% of health he loses.

How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Once all Shinbakufu are defeated, the Silver Queen appears on the Templar Board, assisting the Portuguese in plundering Tamba. To reach her, you'll need to engage with several contacts. Start with the spy.

Where to Find and Talk to The Spy

The spy, essential for information about the Silver Queen, is located in Southeast Tamba within the Silver Lands. Upon entering the investigation area, find him sitting on a rug under a small structure next to a wooden cart and crates. He will reveal the Silver Queen’s location after your conversation.

Where to Meet the Silver Queen

You'll find the Silver Queen in Tada, just Northeast of Tada Kakurega. She'll be conversing with Portuguese soldiers. Approach her, engage in dialogue, and follow her to her house for tea. However, you'll awaken in Tada Silver Mine after being drugged.

How to Escape from Tada Silver Mine

Upon waking in Tada Silver Mine, sprint into the locked door to break it open. After dealing with the guards, choose between fighting or sneaking out. Sneaking is the quickest and safest method. Head southwest to exit the mine, eliminating any enemies obstructing your path.

How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi

The Silver Queen tasks Yasuke with rescuing her brother, Akechi Mitsuyoshi, in exchange for information on his true target. After escaping Tada Silver Mine, head north toward Kameyama Castle. Stock up on Ammo or Rations at the Kakurega just north of Senneji Temple in Kameyama.

Activate Pathfinder and navigate through Kameyama Castle, eliminating guards as you proceed along the suggested path. You’ll encounter a dying servant in the living quarters who will provide you with a key to the castle’s Tenshu.

How to Free Akechi Mitsuyoshi and Retrieve His Katana

With the key in hand, enter the main castle building beneath the Viewpoint and unlock the door to Akechi Mitsuyoshi’s cell. Follow him as he escapes, using your bow or teppo to neutralize distant threats. After securing his freedom, return to the castle to retrieve his Katana from Baltazar. Clear the surrounding soldiers first, then focus on Baltazar, using abilities and posture attacks to break his guard and deal significant damage.

Once Baltazar is defeated and the Katana retrieved, head north to Atago Shrine. Engage with Akechi Mitsuyoshi and follow him to the Shrine to learn the location of your next target.

How to Find and Assassinate Nuno Caro

Yasuke’s ultimate target, Nuno Caro, is preparing to leave Japan. He's located in Western Tamba at Takeda Castle, high atop a mountain at the end of a winding road. Activate Pathfinder to find the most direct route.

Takeda Castle is heavily guarded with alarm bells that can alert enemies to your presence. Stealth isn't viable for Yasuke here, so disable the alarm bells using your bow or teppo. As you ascend, you'll reach a set of double doors; interact with them to confront Nuno Caro.

Eliminate Nuno Caro’s men as you climb the castle to pursue him. He's at the very top, where he'll initiate a boss fight. Nuno Caro fights similarly to his soldiers, using a sword and pistol. Block or parry his four-swipe combo and dodge when his pistol glows red. Use abilities to inflict high damage and exploit his vulnerabilities until he's defeated. With Nuno Caro’s demise, the Templar Hunt Objective Board is complete.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available from March 20th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
