"Devil May Cry Anime Opener Features Limp Bizkit Hit"

Netflix has recently unveiled the opening trailer for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of the iconic video game series, Devil May Cry. The trailer, set against the backdrop of the legendary track "Rollin'" by nu-metal band Limp Bizkit, showcases dynamic scenes featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit, packed with nods to the beloved games.

Showrunner Adi Shankar has shared his vision for the series, which is set in the late 90s to early 2000s. He believes the soundtrack perfectly captures the spirit of that era. In addition to Limp Bizkit, the series will feature other iconic tracks from the time, as well as a reimagined soundtrack from the games by the synthwave duo Power Glove.

Shankar also hinted at the future of the series, noting that subsequent seasons will vary in visual style and soundtrack to reflect the diversity of the games. This suggests that the anime will extend beyond a single season.

While plot details remain under wraps, the first season is expected to draw from the manga "Code 1: Dante" (Devil May Cry 3), where a young demon hunter investigates a child's disappearance, leading him to confront his past, family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda.

The first season will comprise 8 episodes and is slated to premiere on April 3, 2025. Fans of the Devil May Cry series can look forward to a thrilling adaptation that honors the essence of the games while exploring new narrative depths.
