Destiny 2 Reveals Horror Themed Armor Sets for Festival of the Lost 2025

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Spooky Vote and Community Concerns

Destiny 2 players are getting a chilling treat this Halloween! Bungie has unveiled the upcoming armor sets for Festival of the Lost 2025, a "Slashers vs. Spectres" themed event featuring armor inspired by iconic horror figures like Jason Voorhees and Slenderman. Players will get to vote for their preferred set – Slashers or Spectres – with designs ranging from a Babadook-inspired Titan set to a La Llorona Hunter ensemble.

This announcement, however, comes amidst growing community concern. While the new armor is exciting, Episode Revenant's numerous bugs and declining player numbers have cast a shadow over the excitement. Issues like broken tonics – a core mechanic of the season – and other gameplay glitches have fueled player frustration, even though Bungie has addressed many of these problems.

Bungie's early 2025 blog post revealing the Festival of the Lost armor sets, ten months before the event, has surprised some. Many players feel the studio should have addressed the game's current state and the community's concerns before focusing on a future event. The drop in player engagement and persistent bugs have left many feeling unheard.

The Armor Choices: Slashers vs. Spectres

The Slashers category offers a terrifyingly familiar aesthetic: Jason-inspired Titan armor, Ghostface-inspired Hunter armor, and a creepy Scarecrow Warlock set. The Spectres category, conversely, features a Babadook Titan, a La Llorona Hunter, and, much to the delight of many, an official Slenderman Warlock set.

Despite the captivating designs, the timing of the announcement and the ongoing issues within Destiny 2 have sparked a larger conversation about the game's current health and Bungie's communication with its community. The hope is that the upcoming Festival of the Lost will provide a much-needed boost, but addressing the core issues remains paramount.
