Destiny 2 Reputation Bug Discovered, Impacting Progress

Destiny 2's Grandmaster Nightfall relaunch has unearthed another reputation bug impacting Warlock players. While Destiny 2 has enjoyed a positive period with new content like Into the Light and The Final Shape, recent weeks have seen a surge in reported bugs. Bungie actively addresses many, but new issues emerge with each weekly reset.

Recent problems include unintended free rewards in private Crucible matches and unlimited Paracausal Shots with Hawkmoon. Warlocks have faced a persistent reputation bug hindering Gambit XP gains, slowing their progression compared to Titans and Hunters. This bug now appears to affect other game areas.

The June 25th weekly reset brought back Grandmaster Nightfalls with boosted Vanguard reputation and double rewards. However, Warlocks are experiencing significantly reduced XP gains compared to other classes, even with the bonus enabled.

The community has identified this Vanguard reputation double XP disparity, noting Warlocks receive less XP from ritual activities. Many players initially overlooked the problem, but the slower leveling speed was noticeable. Surprisingly, this bug may have persisted for months without official acknowledgment from Bungie. Awareness increased recently as players noticed the issue's impact on Gambit XP.

Currently, players can only increase awareness, hoping Bungie addresses it. Update 8.0.0.5 addressed various issues, including Ritual Pathfinder adjustments and the removal of Elemental surges from Dungeons and Raids. However, the Warlock reputation bug remains unresolved.
