Charlie Cox Confirms Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Wrap

Author:Kristen Update:Oct 25,2025

The fate of Disney's Daredevil revival hangs in the balance following ambiguous remarks from lead actor Charlie Cox.

During GalaxyCon, Cox unexpectedly referred to Daredevil: Born Again's upcoming second season (premiering on Disney+ in 2026) as the show's "final season"—hinting this long-awaited revival might conclude after just two installments.

The situation remains fluid, however. Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, countered Cox's statement by suggesting potential longevity for the series—though nothing concrete has been confirmed.

Cox made his comment while discussing Daredevil's new suit during his GalaxyCon panel (later shared via TikTok), calling Born Again Season 2 their "last run."

"We're introducing an original concept this final season—something never done in the comics," Cox revealed.

The remark prompted fans to seek clarification from D'Onofrio, who tweeted cautiously optimistic news: "Good chance there will be a third."

Daredevil: Born Again ranks among Marvel's most hotly anticipated Disney+ shows, with Cox's portrayal earning ardent fan following. However, its broader audience reception remains uncertain.

Much like Matt Murdock's dual identities, the series has grappled with creative direction—evolving from Marvel's initial standalone reboot concept to incorporating more connections with Netflix's original Daredevil continuity.

The upcoming second season—potentially the last—marks the first production fully embracing its Netflix heritage (including Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones return). While D'Onofrio's tweet offers hope, the show's future may hinge on Season 2's performance next year.
