Cyberpunk Action Game Replaced Delayed to Next Year

Thunderful Group's recent financial report reveals a significant delay for the cyberpunk platformer Replaced, developed by Sad Cat Studios. Initially slated for a 2022 release, the game has faced multiple postponements, with its most recent target of 2025 now pushed back to 2026. This news comes after several rounds of layoffs within Thunderful Group.

The developers previously attributed the delays to the game's unique development challenges. Despite the setbacks, Sad Cat Studios remains committed to delivering a high-quality product, acknowledging the anticipation surrounding Replaced. The game was initially unveiled in 2021 during a Microsoft presentation at E3.

While Sad Cat Studios hasn't officially commented on this latest delay, they have provided occasional updates, including combat footage and a mini-game demonstration this summer.
