"The Last of Us Complete Surprises with PS5 Bundle Launch"

Naughty Dog has once again re-released its critically acclaimed The Last of Us games, now bundled together for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) as The Last of Us Complete. This exciting two-pack collection, announced and launched today, includes the 2022 remake The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, providing players with an immersive experience.

*The Last of Us Complete* includes both mainline stories along with the bonus content added since their initial releases. This encompasses the *Left Behind* Ellie-focused prequel DLC, as well as *The Last of Us Part 2’s* *No Return* and *Lost Levels* content. For fans of the HBO series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey who haven't yet explored the video games, this all-inclusive digital bundle is priced at $99.99.

In a PlayStation.Blog post by Naughty Dog Head of Studio Neil Druckmann, it was announced that a physical The Last of Us Complete Collector’s Edition will be available on July 10 for $109.99, with pre-orders available now. This edition comes with additional items such as a Steelbook case, game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 – 4, four lithographic art prints, and a thank-you letter from Druckmann.

The The Last of Us series first debuted on the PS3 in 2013 and has since become a cherished part of the PlayStation lineup, despite facing some criticism for its multiple re-releases and remasters. The journey of Joel and Ellie was enhanced for the PS4 in 2014, and later reimagined for the PS5 with a full remake in 2022. The Last of Us Part 2 continued Ellie’s narrative in 2020 and was remastered in early 2024. Both titles have also made their way to PC, with The Last of Us Part 1 arriving in 2023 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just last week.

The Last of Us Complete consolidates all of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic content into one comprehensive package, marking another re-release. Although some may question the frequent revisits to Joel and Ellie's world, the timing aligns perfectly with the premiere of HBO's The Last of Us Season 2, set to debut its first episode this Sunday. Season 3 was recently greenlit.
