You'll know you're in the right place when you see Tanuki statues. Follow the path uphill to a clearing where you can find the legendary Tanuki. Approach carefully and complete the painting.

Legendary Grey Heron – Winter, Daytime

The Grey Heron can be found in the Wakasa region, near Lake Suigetsu, during winter and in the daytime. Approach the cluster of islands west of Lake Suigetsu cautiously. Dismount at a distance, walk to the marked area, and slowly approach the Heron to complete the Sumi-E.

Legendary Macaque – All seasons, Nighttime

Travel to the Yamashiro region to find the Legendary Macaque, available in all seasons but only at night. Locate the Little Leaf Glade sub-region and head to the Sarumaru Shrine near the mountains. Climb the stairs at night to find the three wise monkeys, and complete your Sumi-E.

Legendary Silver Fox – Autumn, Nighttime

The Legendary Silver Fox can be found in the Kii region, specifically the Nakahechi Route sub-region, during Autumn and at night. Visit the Kamimisu Inari Shrine, known for its fox statues, and locate the Silver Fox at the cliff's edge to complete the painting.

Legendary Deer – Spring, Nighttime

Head to the Yamato region and the Yoshino sub-region to find the Legendary Deer during Spring, at night. Start from the Mountain Blossom Temple to the west and follow the path east to reach Sakura Meadows. Climb the slopes to the clearing at the top to find and paint the legendary Deer.

Keep in mind that even if you're in the correct location at the right time, the animals might not spawn immediately. If this happens, fast-travel to a nearby location and return to the spot to try again.
