Civilization VI Android Update: Full Content Parity and New Features Released

Aspyr brings Android players up to speed with the Civilization VI community. On June 12th, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI on Android gets a significant update, introducing previously missing features, maps, and content to match other platforms. Two major expansion passes also debut for Android users.

The update adds three new units to enhance gameplay. Trebuchets slot between Catapults and Bombards, Man-at-Arms bolster Medieval-era melee strength, and Line Infantry ease the shift from Musketmen to modern Infantry. These units refine progression, offering sharper tactical choices across eras.

Explore four new maps, including a vast Mediterranean and an expansive Earth map, each with variants starting your civilization in its historical capital. New modes, Tech and Civic Shuffle and Barbarian Clans, arrive to inject fresh unpredictability for Android players.

This update delivers highly requested features like Natural Wonder and City-State Pickers for tailored world generation, alongside the Leader Selection Pool and new leader Julius Caesar. Over 50 bugs are resolved, with multiplayer performance significantly improved.

From June 12th, Android players can dive deeper with the New Frontier Pass ($29.99), featuring eight civilizations, nine leaders, and six new game modes. The Leader Pass ($19.99) adds 12 new leaders and fresh spins on beloved rulers.
