Uncover Captain Henqua's Spoils in Avowed: A Guide to Treasure Hunting

Avowed's world encourages exploration, and treasure maps are a key part of that. This guide details how to locate and utilize Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map in Dawnshore.

Finding the Treasure Map

The map is hidden atop the lighthouse in the western part of Calviger’s Landing, located in the southern Living Lands region. Ascend the lighthouse using the external ledges and scaffolding. The treasure map awaits at the summit.

Locating Captain Henqua's Spoils

Following the map, head north along the river from the lighthouse to a broken bridge (northeast of the Old Pargrun Wall fast travel point). Swim to a western cave opening beneath the bridge. The chest containing the Wind and Wave shield is inside.

The Wind and Wave Shield: Benefits and Upgrades

This Superb Quality shield boasts a 10% movement speed increase and 20% Frost Accumulation resistance. It's significantly more powerful than early-game alternatives and can be upgraded to Legendary quality using rare resources like Glasswood Branches and Adra Ban.
