Explore Riftbound League of Legends Card Collection

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 22,2025

League of Legends is introducing a new TCG, but this time it's a physical card game. Riot has been heavily promoting Riftbound since its announcement, and now that the first set, Origins, has launched, it's selling out rapidly.

This makes it difficult to find products at their standard retail price, so it's best to avoid listings with inflated prices—we anticipate Riot is rushing to restock major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy as soon as possible.

Currently, it's only available directly from Riot (when in stock, with a roughly $20 shipping fee) or through trusted resale platforms like TCGPlayer.

So, what should you purchase? Where do you begin? While this guide won't teach you how to play Riftbound, it will cover all the essentials to get you started.

Why are Riftbound prices increasing?

Unfortunately, as the debut set of Riot's first card game arrives in stores, it's being quickly bought up by resellers and listed on the secondary market.

This is common in the TCG world, but Riot is reportedly increasing production. If you can wait, more products will become available.

Proving Grounds

The ideal starting point for Riftbound is the Proving Grounds starter set, which includes four preconstructed decks for two, three, or four players.

It features Annie, Garen, Lux, and Master Yi, along with a guided play experience to help newcomers. Each deck also provides upgrade suggestions using cards found in booster packs (which we'll discuss next).

Once back in stock, it should retail for $29.99.

Champion Decks

Next, Riot offers three preconstructed 56-card decks centered around Jinx, Lee Sin, and Viktor.

Each deck comes with a booklet explaining gameplay strategies and card upgrade recommendations. This is especially useful since every deck includes an Origins booster pack.

You'll also find a paper playmat inside, meaning you can truly just buy one of these and start playing right away. Each deck is priced at $19.99 when market prices stabilize.

Booster Packs and Boxes

Booster packs form the core of any trading card game, and Riftbound follows this tradition. Each pack contains 14 cards: 7 Commons, 3 Uncommons, 2 Foil Rares or higher, and 1 Foil card of any rarity.

Riftbound Booster Box

You can also purchase a booster box, which includes 24 packs. According to Riot, each box guarantees "more than 2 special alternate-art cards," which may appeal to collectors.

Once pricing normalizes, a booster box should cost around $119.99.

Special Sets

Currently, there are two special collector's sets available for Riftbound.

The first is the Arcane Box Set, featuring a display box and exclusive cards for Jinx, Vi, Heimerdinger, Viktor, Warwick, and Caitlyn. These cards have unique art treatments, but the set is currently sold out.

There's also a Worlds Bundle scheduled to ship later this year. It includes a Panda Teemo promo card, oversized Battlefield cards, a playmat, a deckbox, and card sleeves. The expected retail price is $99.99, though current reseller prices are significantly higher.
