Author:Kristen Update:Mar 25,2025

In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players take on the role of Alta, a weary fighter who now manages a serene tea shop nestled in a magical forest. As Alta embarks on a journey of rest and recovery, she encounters a diverse clientele, some of whom crave coffee—a beverage not typically on the menu. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

During the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a striking humanoid bird visits the tea shop, seeking a refined cup of tea. Following her departure, three businessmen—Jerry, Larry, and Terry—arrive, all dressed in suits and ties, en route to a crucial boardroom presentation. Despite Alta's warning that they're off-course, they decline her offer of tea, insisting on coffee. Instead of leaving when they learn coffee isn't available, they decide to wait until it becomes an option.

Boro, the tea shop's owner, reveals that coffee has never grown in this forest, leaving Alta initially frustrated. However, the arrival of Zenith, an interdimensional figure fascinated by the businessmen, changes the situation. While Zenith is intrigued by the men, they also accept Alta's offer of tea, marking their first experience with a beverage other than coffee.

How to Unlock Coffee Beans in Wanderstop

To unlock coffee beans, prepare a special cup of tea for Zenith using something valuable, such as a book, trinket, pot, mug, a small plant (including the pot), or even a photograph. After tasting this unique tea, Zenith becomes curious about the differences between coffee and tea and what's needed to brew coffee for the businessmen. Alta's mention of "coffee beans" sparks an idea in Zenith.

Utilizing the Infinite Path, Zenith brings coffee beans to the forest, enabling them to grow in the clearing for the first time. Instructions for harvesting and brewing these beans are then added to Alta's Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

Once summoned by Zenith, coffee beans start growing wild in the clearing and respawn randomly. Harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds, and you can store them in your ingredients pocket, carry one at a time, or place them on shelves, tables, floors, or the ground outside.

Before brewing, coffee beans must be cleaned. Place them in the dishwasher and wait for them to be delivered to the tea room via the dish trains.

To brew coffee, pour water into the tea maker, heat it as needed, and kick the gear to pour the water into the infuser. Only one bean is needed to brew coffee, though customers might request additional beans or other ingredients. After brewing, kick the gear again to pour the coffee into the kettle below, then decant it into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta herself.

Introducing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and offers a new option for other customers. Even Boro, though not a fan, is willing to give it a try.

That's how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.
