Blizzard's handling of the Overwatch 2 Cyber DJ skin has ignited another controversy. Initially sold for $19.99, the skin was unexpectedly offered for free a day later to Twitch viewers watching a one-hour broadcast on February 12th.

This sparked significant backlash from players who had already purchased the skin, leading to widespread calls for refunds. While the Cyber DJ skin has been removed from the in-game store, Blizzard has yet to address the refund requests.

This isn't the first instance of Blizzard selling cosmetic items only to later offer them free through promotions, fueling player frustration and accusations of unfair practices.

Facing stiff competition, particularly from the successful Marvel Rivals, Blizzard announced a special Overwatch 2 Spotlight event on February 12th. This event will showcase revolutionary gameplay changes, including new maps, heroes, and other content. Prominent streamers will also be present, offering an exclusive early look at upcoming updates.
