Blade Debuts in Marvel Rivals Sneak Peek

Marvel Rivals: Blade Artwork Hints at Season 2 Debut, Midnight Features Rewards, and Ultron Leak

Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features event has unveiled official artwork of Blade, fueling speculation about his potential arrival as a playable character in Season 2. Season 1 is currently underway, introducing new maps, a game mode, and a battle pass with cosmetic rewards.

The five-chapter Midnight Features quests, accessible via the in-game Season menu, offer rewards including Chrono Tokens, Units, and a free Thor skin. While some challenges are initially time-gated, all chapters will be available by January 17th. Chapter 3's reward is a Gallery Card depicting Blade battling Dracula, Season 1's antagonist. This marks the first official confirmation of Blade's existence within the game, following previous data-mined discoveries. Season 1's narrative positions Dracula as having removed Blade and Doctor Strange from the conflict.

Blade's Potential as a Playable Character:

Blade's appearance in official artwork strongly suggests a playable role in Season 2. Fan theories anticipate a Season 1 finale featuring the Fantastic Four defeating Dracula, rescuing Blade and Doctor Strange. Many believe Blade's best fit would be as a Duelist class, potentially featuring a transformation mechanic similar to Magik and Hulk's ultimate abilities. This transformation would reportedly enhance his strength, modify attacks, and grant wall-hack capabilities.

Ultron's Leaked Abilities:

Beyond Blade, leaks from Season 0 revealed Ultron's complete ability set, hinting at a Strategist role providing support and healing to teammates. While initially predicted for Season 1, his introduction seems delayed, possibly due to the Fantastic Four's inclusion. It's important to remember that leaks remain unconfirmed until official announcements.

The ongoing excitement surrounding potential new characters and content keeps players optimistic about Marvel Rivals' future.
