Rey Dau, the first dragon you'll face in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, inhabits the Windward Plains. Its horns, wings, and tail are breakable. While immune to lightning, it's weak to ice and water. Prioritize attacks to its head (4-star weakness) or wings (3-star weakness). Avoid its sturdy torso and well-protected legs. Exploit status ailments like Poison, Sleep, Blastblight, and Exhaust, but avoid Stun and Paralysis.

One effective strategy is using Flash Pods to temporarily stun Rey Dau, creating openings for significant damage, especially targeting its glowing red horns during its lightning attacks. Remember to activate Focus Mode to clearly see these vulnerable points.

Equipping gear that boosts elemental resistance is crucial for survival. The Hope Armor set, with its Divine Blessing skill, reduces damage and provides resistance to lightning and fire. Consider enhancing your elemental resistance further with a beneficial meal.
