The six core Avowed Attributes are:

  • Might: Enhances physical and spiritual strength, boosting damage from all sources and increasing carry capacity. High Might unlocks unique dialogue options, potentially intimidating foes or avoiding conflict.
  • Constitution: Improves overall health and stamina, increasing maximum health and resistance to poison and bleeding. It also unlocks specific dialogue choices.
  • Dexterity: Increases attack and action speeds, enhancing weapon and ability use, consumable consumption, and parkour. Reload speed also benefits. Overall, it significantly improves mobility.
  • Perception: Boosts critical hit chance and maximum range for ranged weapons (bows, wands, guns). While offering additional dialogue options, their impact on gameplay is often minimal.
  • Intellect: Increases maximum essence and resistance to ignited, shocked, and frozen statuses. Crucial for spellcasters, but also beneficial for characters utilizing essence-based abilities. Additional dialogue options are available.
  • Resolve: Improves maximum stamina and Second Wind efficiency. Synergizes well with heavy weapons and tank builds. Dialogue options similar to Constitution's are unlocked.

While each attribute contributes to specific builds, some offer broader advantages. Here's our ranking to guide your character creation and level-up decisions:

  1. Perception: Perception's benefits (critical hit chance and ranged weapon range) are situationally effective. While useful against certain enemies, its overall impact is limited, especially given the prevalence of close-quarters combat.

  2. Resolve: Increased stamina is valuable, but many unique armor pieces provide similar boosts, reducing Resolve's necessity. Second Wind, while helpful, is often outweighed by prioritizing health and evasion to mitigate damage.

  3. Intellect: The significant elemental resistances are crucial for survival. Even non-magic users benefit from increased maximum essence, which fuels numerous abilities.

  4. Dexterity: A versatile attribute that enhances overall combat efficiency and mobility. Investing in Dexterity is beneficial for all builds.

  5. Constitution: Increased maximum health and resistances to poison and bleed are invaluable for survivability, as these damage types are frequently lethal.

  6. Might: Might is the most impactful attribute. The damage boost significantly improves DPS, and the increased carry capacity is essential for managing inventory and loot.

This ranking provides a framework. Your specific playstyle and build may necessitate adjustments. Remember to experiment and find the attribute combination that best suits your preferred combat approach.
