Best Arceus Ex Decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket

The God of all Pokemon, Arceus, has made an early entrance into *Pokemon TCG Pocket*, bringing along a suite of synergistic Pokemon that enhance its formidable presence. Here's a rundown of the top Arceus Ex decks you can assemble in *Pokemon TCG Pocket*.

Best Arceus Ex Decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Arceus Ex boasts an ability that renders it immune to debilitating status conditions such as Sleep and Confused. Its Ultimate Force attack packs a punch, dealing 70 damage plus an additional 20 for each benched Pokemon, using just 3 Colorless energy. At full strength, it can hit for a whopping 130 damage.

Arceus Ex synergizes exceptionally well with eight different Pokemon from the Triumphant Light expansion pack, each possessing a unique "link" ability that activates when an Arceus Ex or regular Arceus is in play:

  • Carnivine (Power Link)
  • Heatran (Speed Link)
  • Abomasnow (Vigor Link)
  • Raichu (Resilience Link)
  • Rotom (Speed Link)
  • Tyranitar (Power Link)
  • Crobat (Cunning Link)
  • Magnezone (Resilience Link)

Among these, Crobat, Magnezone, and Heatran stand out as the most potent partners. Let's delve into the best Arceus Ex decks centered around these key allies.

Crobat (Dark Energy)

  • 2x Arceus Ex
  • 2x Zubat (Triumphant Light)
  • 2x Golbat (Genetic Apex)
  • 2x Crobat
  • 1x Spiritomb
  • 1x Farfetch’d
  • 2x Professor’s Research
  • 2x Dawn
  • 2x Cyrus
  • 2x Poke Ball
  • 2x Pokemon Communication

This deck features two primary attackers: Crobat and Arceus Ex. With an Arceus Ex on the field, Crobat can deal 30 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokemon directly from the bench. Additionally, it hits for 50 damage with just one Dark energy, making it a perfect complement to Arceus Ex, which you'll want to power up with three Colorless energy.

With Arceus Ex fully powered on the bench, you can freely retreat Crobat into it, as Crobat has no retreat cost, allowing you to deal a formidable 130 damage if you have a full bench. Farfetch’d adds pressure, while Spiritomb spreads damage to your opponent’s bench, setting up knockouts with Cyrus.

Dialga Ex/Magnezone (Metal Energy)

  • 2x Arceus Ex
  • 2x Dialga Ex
  • 2x Magnemite (Triumphant Light)
  • 2x Magneton (Genetic Apex)
  • 1x Magnezone (Triumphant Light)
  • 1x Magnezone (Genetic Apex)
  • 1x Skarmory
  • 2x Professor’s Research
  • 2x Leaf
  • 2x Giant’s Cape
  • 1x Rocky Helmet
  • 2x Poke Ball

In this deck, Arceus Ex is the primary attacker, supported by both versions of Magnezone. The Triumphant Light Magnezone reduces incoming damage by 30 when Arceus Ex is in play, while the Genetic Apex Magnezone deals 110 damage provided you've used Magneton's Volt Charge ability at least once before evolving. Note that you cannot attach Metal energy to the Genetic Apex Magneton as it's an Electric type, so timing your evolution is crucial.

To maximize Arceus Ex's damage output, a full bench is essential. Skarmory, along with two Giant’s Capes and a single Rocky Helmet, help keep your Dialga Ex and Arceus Ex safe while you power up Skarmory.

Heatran (Fire Energy)

  • 2x Arceus Ex
  • 2x Heatran (Triumphant Light)
  • 2x Ponyta (Mythical Island)
  • 2x Rapidash (Genetic Apex)
  • 1x Farfetch’d
  • 2x Professor’s Research
  • 1x Blaine
  • 1x Cyrus
  • 1x Dawn
  • 2x Giant’s Cape
  • 2x Poke Ball
  • 2x X Speed

This deck is a more aggressive Fire-type strategy, reminiscent of the classic Ninetails Blaine deck. You aim to pressure your opponent early with Heatran, Rapidash, and Farfetch’d, which require minimal energy to become effective, while building up your Arceus Ex on the bench. Giant’s Cape ensures Heatran's longevity and pushes Arceus Ex past the critical 150 HP mark.

With Arceus Ex on the field, Heatran can retreat for free, allowing you to cycle through your Pokemon with minimal energy cost. Its Ragin’ Fury attack deals 80 damage for two Fire energy if it's damaged; otherwise, it hits for 40, which can be significant early in a match.

As the meta evolves, more strategies featuring Arceus Ex will undoubtedly emerge. For now, these decks represent the pinnacle of Arceus Ex play in *Pokemon TCG Pocket*.
