Android and iOS Pre-Orders Now Live for Delta Force

Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now open for pre-registration on iOS and Android. This Tencent-developed title, launching in late January 2025, aims to be a major player in the modern military shooter genre, blending diverse missions and modes with a tactical gameplay focus.

For those unfamiliar, the Delta Force series is a veteran of the FPS landscape, predating even Call of Duty. Inspired by the real-life US military special forces unit, the game series has always prioritized realistic action, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry.

Tencent's Level Infinite has revitalized the franchise with features such as Warfare mode (large-scale combat akin to Battlefield) and Operations mode (extraction-style gameplay). A single-player campaign, drawing inspiration from the Battle of Mogadishu and the film Black Hawk Down, is also planned for 2025.

Addressing Cheating Concerns

Despite high anticipation, Delta Force hasn't been without controversy. Tencent's aggressive anti-cheat measures, employing G.T.I. Security, have faced criticism for their restrictiveness on PC. While the impact on the mobile version remains to be seen, these concerns may affect player interest. The mobile platform generally offers less opportunity for cheating, potentially allowing Delta Force to meet expectations.
