Amazon Slashes Prices on RTX 5070 Ti Gaming PCs

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, released in late February, was initially priced at $749.99. However, finding it at this price has become a challenge due to widespread price increases by both manufacturers and individual sellers. You're likely to see the RTX 5070 Ti listed for no less than $1,000 in the current market.

Fortunately, there's a smart workaround: opting for a prebuilt gaming PC. Amazon is currently offering CyberpowerPC RTX 5070 Ti gaming desktops starting at $2,069.99. This price is quite reasonable, especially considering the RTX 5070 Ti's performance, which rivals that of the RTX 4080 Super, even before considering the benefits of DLSS 4. For comparison, the best deal on an RTX 4080 Super gaming PC I've found is at HP for $2,299.99. Unless you have a specific brand preference, choosing one of these prebuilt PCs could be the more economical choice.

My preferred configuration is the CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD. In our review, Jackie Thomas noted that "the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is extremely powerful in games, which makes it easier to recommend than other recent processors like the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K or Ryzen 9 9900X. Especially if you’re building a rig with a powerful graphics card, the 9800X3D is going to be the best way to get the most performance."

Of all the Blackwell cards released so far, the RTX 5070 Ti offers the best value, especially when compared to previous generation GPUs. It performs nearly identically to the RTX 4080 Super and even outshines the RTX 5080, which is only about 10%-15% faster but costs 33% more. This GPU is capable of delivering high framerates in nearly all games, even at 4K resolution with ray tracing enabled. Moreover, if you're planning to use this card for AI applications, the RTX 5070 Ti might be a better choice than the RTX 50870, given both are equipped with the same 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM.
