"Made in Abyss Universe Launches First Mobile Game"

Avex Pictures has unveiled an exciting new addition to the *Made in Abyss* universe: a mobile game titled *Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey*. This marks the first time the captivating story of *Made in Abyss* will be explored through a mobile gaming experience. The announcement was made alongside the launch of the game's official X account, which fans can follow for the latest updates as the release date approaches.

While details on the gameplay are still under wraps, it's confirmed that *Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey* will be a casual mobile title, available initially on Android and iOS platforms. However, the launch is currently planned for Japan only, with no information yet on a global release.

Dived into the Abyss Yet?

*Made in Abyss* began its journey in 2012 as a manga by Akihito Tsukushi, published on Web Comic Gamma. The story centers on Riko, a young orphan from the town of Orth, which is situated around a colossal vertical hole known as the Abyss. This mysterious chasm is filled with ancient technology, bizarre creatures, and a dark secret that consumes adventurers.

Driven by the desire to emulate her mother, Lyza—a renowned White Whistle Cave Raider who vanished in the Abyss—Riko embarks on a perilous journey. Along the way, she encounters Reg, a half-robot boy with no memories of his past. Together, they delve deeper into the Abyss, aware of the risks they face.

The *Made in Abyss* saga has expanded beyond the manga, with an anime adaptation in 2017 and a sequel film, *Dawn of the Deep Soul*, released in Japan in 2020. In 2022, Chime Corporation further enriched the franchise with a console and PC RPG titled *Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness*.
