Paramount Pictures has made significant changes to its movie release schedule, leading to delays for two highly anticipated Nickelodeon films: The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2. These adjustments mean that fans will have to wait several months longer than initially planned to see these movies hit the big screen.

According to Variety, the eagerly awaited The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will no longer premiere on January 30, 2026. Instead, it has been rescheduled for October 9, 2026. This shift delays the movie by nearly nine months. To soften the blow, Paramount has unveiled a new logo for the film, which you can view below.

This marks the second delay for the film, which was originally set to release on October 10, 2025. No specific reason for the delay was provided, but it's confirmed that voice actors Steven Yeun, Dave Bautista, and Eric Nam are still involved with the project.

The film will focus on the original Avatar protagonist, Aang, and is set many years after the conclusion of the beloved series. It received its official title at last month's CinemaCon and is the first of three movies planned in this universe.

Similarly, the sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which was announced just before the first film's premiere in 2023, has also been delayed. Originally slated for October 9, 2026, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 will now hit theaters on September 17, 2027, pushing the release date back by nearly a year.
