"The Last of Us 3: Is There Hope?"

Fans of The Last of Us series were still reeling from Neil Druckmann's recent statement that a new game might not be in the works when a sudden ray of hope emerged. Insider Daniel Richtman has stirred excitement by claiming that the next installment is not only in development but has already cast its actors, with some scenes reportedly filmed.

Given the somewhat ambiguous earlier statement from Naughty Dog's director, these rumors might have some merit. When Druckmann mentioned there would be "no next The Last of Us," he could have been referring to a sequel already in the pipeline. Additionally, he has made similar statements in the past, before announcing Part II. However, it's worth noting that Richtman has a history of inaccurate leaks.

Nevertheless, it is confirmed that a concept for the new installment does exist. As for an official announcement or further news, the studio may be holding off to keep the spotlight on their upcoming new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
