MAME4droid (0.139u1)

MAME4droid emulates arcade games supported by the original MAME 0.139u1 version, developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco) as a port of the MAME 0.139 emulator created by Nicola Salmoria and the MAME team. This emulator supports over 8000 different ROMs, offering a vast library of arcade gaming experiences.

This version of MAME4droid is optimized for dual-core Android devices, leveraging the higher specifications required by the PC MAME version it's based on. Even with a high-end device, don't expect all "modern" arcade games from the 90s and beyond to run at full speed or with complete compatibility. Games like Outrun and the Mortal Kombat series, known for their poor optimization, typically require at least a 1.5GHz dual-core device to run smoothly.

Given the extensive list of over 8000 supported games, performance can vary significantly. Some games may run flawlessly, while others may not run at all. Due to the sheer number of titles, it's impractical to provide support for every game, so please refrain from contacting the developer for specific game support.

After installation, place your MAME-titled zipped ROMs in the /sdcard/MAME4droid/roms folder. This version of MAME4droid is compatible only with the '0.139' romset.
