Suite au succès apparent de la Coupe du monde Esports 2024, Moonton's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) a officiellement confirmé son retour pour la compétition 2025. Cela fait suite à l'annonce antérieure du retour également de Free Fire de Garena.

La Coupe du monde Esports 2024 comprenait deux événements MLBB : la MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) et le MLBB Women's Invitational. Ces tournois ont vu des équipes internationales s'affronter à Riyad.
