Au départ, vos marqueurs de quête ne vous guideront pas directement vers le hub Slag Heap. Faire progresser le scénario principal est nécessaire ; plus précisément, terminer la quête « Les réponses ont un prix » déverrouille cet emplacement. Cela implique des visites préalables au Centre de Détention et au Laboratoire avant de rencontrer Scar.

Suite à cela, le jeu vous dirigera vers le Terril, situé au nord du laboratoire. Cependant, n'hésitez pas à l'explorer plus tôt. Le Slag Heap compte deux commerçants clés :

  • Boozer : Situé à l'entrée, Boozer gère le bar, vendant de la nourriture et des boissons tout en acceptant une grande variété de produits commerciaux. Il est difficile de le manquer.

  • Huron : Trouvé à gauche, puis par la porte ouverte sur votre droite. Huron est spécialisé dans les armes et l'équipement. Sa chambre sert également de réserve, vous permettant de stocker des objets supplémentaires. Interagir avec Huron lance également une quête secondaire.

Bien qu'il ne soit pas un commerçant, un Tech réside au fond du couloir gauche dans le terril. Vous le rencontrerez en progressant dans la série de quêtes principale en parlant avec Diode.
